Driving Theory Test

Taking the theory test for cars

The driving theory test is made up of 2 part which are the multiple choice questions and the hazard perception test. You can take the theory test at your local Driving Standards Agency (DSA) theory test centre.

The multiple choice questions consists of 50 questions and you will need to correctly answer 44 or more to successfully pass this section.

The hazard perception test is a group of 14 short video clips. You will be required to watch these clips carefully and react appropriately to any developing major hazards which are seen by the use of a computer mouse. To pass the hazard perception test you will need to score 44 or more out of 75 points.
